Bullet & Blast Proof Glass
Bullet-resistant glass comprises multi-laminates of glass and P.V.B. inter-layers to prevent bullet penetration from a wide variety of weapons and munitions. Blast-resistant laminated glass generally comprises of two annealed glasses with a P.V.B. interlayer, ideally employed in combination with an external tempered glass, in a double glazed unit combination. The tempered glass (sacrificial glass) is normally broken during a blast. The laminated glass is designed to absorb the secondary shock and be retained by the bonding to the frame, at the same time minimizing injury otherwise is a result of flying glass sharps and debris.
